How to Dye Your Hair at Home Like a Pro
- Test the color using one strand of hair, to see if the hair will pick up the desired tint
- Divide your hair into 4 parts: top, right side, left side, right crown, & left crown
- Dye the front sections first because these are the most visible, so need the full processing time.
- Wash your hair well with water only, and do not use shampoo for a couple of days.

Remember:

- Apply a small amount of petroleum jelly to your forehead and ears to protect it from the dye.

- Do not use hot water when washing your hair
- Make sure you clean all the dye from your hair as it can stain
- Do not wash your hair for at least 24 hours after dyeing it
